SFIAAFF aka longest acronym festival wrapped up

After a long week of shooting q&as, parties, after parties, and galas, my work at the 28th annual San Francisco Asian American Film Festival is done! I had a lot of fun this year, and felt like I captured a wide variety of shots. The last weekend of the festival featured my hometown of San Jose at Camera 12 Cinemas. Its an older theatre but one with lots of charm and homeyness (is that a word?) to it. The closing film this year was Au Revoir Taipei, a whimsical romantic/light hearted gangster comedy set in one of the night life capitals of Asia. For me, the movie reminded me of all the eateries and the awesome 7-11s Taipei have that are open 24 hours. A superbly shot film, and one everyone should check out if they get the chance to. And it even won the audience award for this year’s festival, congrats. For the rest of the pics from that day/night, click here.
